I was with the 169th in Ft. Stewart, GA, Okinawa, Japan. While in Okinwa, the battalion received orders for Vietnam. We flew into Saigon but I think most of the heavy equipment came through the port. I don't remember the exact dates I was in Vietnam but I was there through 1966 and back stateside in Feb or March 1967.

I was assigned to a low boy tractor trailer and I got a chance to travel around quite a bit. It seems like evey outfit had something to move.

I retired as a crane and derrick operator in New York City. I went into the service from Brookln, NY and move to my current address after I got married and did the commuting thing for many years.
